I have tried to use the xmodem command from the Rommon> prompt to reflash a 1720 router. After executing the xmodem command I get:
lseek out of bounds
getdirent: lseek error
As soon as the file starts the transfer process, it stops and gives me the following error:
ERR:Image size exceeds free flash space
I have executed this successfully on several other identical 1720 routers.
