G430 with S8300 running CM5.2
Using the S8300 as the TFTP server for IP phone.

There are 5 of these phones in the facility. All of them randomly lock-up- have a display, but no dialtone when activated. Reboot and it works again for up to a week. Trying to upload the latest firmware to correct the issue.

The firmware upgrade package for the 1692 IP conference phones includes these files- 1692_000130.bin; 1692upgrade.txt; 0000000000.cfg; av_prca_pem_2033.txt; bootrom.ld; release.xml and a folder with the 1692 localization.

The S8300 will only allow us to load the .txt and the .bin files into the /tftpboot directory. All the other files it refuses to move or copy, using the webpage or the CLI commands.

Is there other ways to load these files onto the TFTP server of the S8300, or do we need to connect a TFTP/HTTP server in the network?

Any thoughts will be appriciated.

Don't have an answer for that...but will comment on the 1692 Poly issues and the firmware. We have had problems for months and tried several releases of firmware - our units will reboot constantly after a power outage or sometimes just because. We recently tried 1.32 - directly from Avaya...so I don't think it is on the website yet but so far, it is working. We were able to "break" the firmware in the past, but not this release.

ugghh. Between the 1692's and the 96X1's, when will it end. All junk!!!

I sadly have to agree with you phoneguy. the quality of the device's have gone down hill with no end in sight.
