I have recently installed an S8300/G450 with CM 5.2 and service pack 0.
All phones are working ok using the handsets but if they use the speaker (hands free) to an outside caller (on ISDN) the outside caller gets bad back ground noise, as if they are using the phone in a comms room, the operating environment is very quiet so its not picking up any background noise. Everything sounds ok to the person using the 1608.
The phones are running the latest firmware 1.2 from the Avaya support website.
I did install service pack 2 for CM 5.2 but had to remove it because it caused call cut offs after 20 seconds when logging into mailboxes on Communication Manager Messaging.
Anyone come across this speaker problem as well and managed to resolve it ?
