Does Win2K have a driver or patch to enable a 1394 network connection like WinXP? I want to connect 2 computers thru their fire ports.

you could try using the winXP patch on your win2k machine. often times they work on XP, as well as 2K

Yes wolluf, but 2k doesn't support TCP/IP over Firewire. There are a couple of companies selling software to do this, but I havent seen any freeware drivers yet.
Yet another thing on the Microsoft "must do (never)" list...how long would it take to re-compile the driver for 2k and release it-30 seconds tops!!

I do not know of any TCP/IP firewire patch for XP. The system comes with support built in.

Ok Jocsta, I'll try reading the whole post in future.
