1346-217 xhost: error

Hi,


I am getting following error message on our two servers.

# xhost +
access control disabled, clients can connect from any host
1346-217 xhost: must be on local machine to enable or disable access control.

any one have a idea how to resolve this problem.

Hi Morsing,

I am getting the same message from console also.The two servers are configured for HACMP Cluster.I am getting this error message only on these two servers.Thanx for the quick reply....Pls let me know if u need more details.

Hi,

My problem is resolved.I have added an entry of DISPLAY in /etc/environment file and logged out and agin logged in from root.Now,By default xhost + is picking up local display of server.
