127.0.0.1 gives 500 internal server error, any fixes?

Hello,

I have just installed IIS 5.1 on Windows XP proffesional. When i try to connect to the server using 127.0.0.1 or localhost I get the following error in the title bar of explorer: "HTTP 500 internal server error". However, if I use my actual IP assigned by my isp, it works fine. Also, I just installed ColdFusion and studio cannot find my localhost webserver. Any help or suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

To my knowledge, IIS does not accept connections on localhost by default. Add that IP address to your web site. ______________________________________________________________________
