Anyone know of a reliable wireless usb headset for use with the Nortel(Avaya)1140e handsets. Users currently have plantronics CS60 usb, however headset regularly requires re-subscribtion to base unit. I want to avoid mechanical lifters if possible. 2050 soft phone not an option.

Why don't you use Bluetooth? An answer would be if you have more than 30 people in the area using it. At least you wouldn't have to buy the Bluetooth USB dongle (save ya $100)

For our softphone we actually use a Bluetooth dongle that plugs into USB and our VP loves that (never had any issues except that the battery just died and it is not user replaceable). The problem is I haven't tested it on the 1140 so not sure if it would work. I know when we first purchased our 1140s they said that you could only use mouse and keyboard in the USB ports on the phone (that they would not work with a headset) but I think Nortel has since corrected that. I wondered why they didn't allow USB headsets in the first place - how silly. Maybe my information was wrong though - seem to get a lot of that with our lame vendor 'undisclosed'.

Good luck!
