Now the ipo supports having more than 1000 entries in the directory, upto 10000 , does anyone know how to import that ammount, I've tried to use the standard import, and by just adding it to the configuration.csv, with no luck. It a bit rubbish if you can have 10000, but have to hand type anything over 1000.

Robb

There is a NoUser source code to allow the import of 500+ directory entries.

You must enter "ExtendLDAPDirectLimit" in the NoUser > SourceNumber field, then you can import more then 500 entries in the phonebook. (You can thank intrigrant for that!!)

Not sure about having 10,000.

Direct from the IKP Office KnowledgeBase::

Directory
The IP Office Directory is a list of up to 1000 numbers and associated names stored centrally in the
Directory Entry can be used to label an incoming call on a caller display telephone or on a PC application.
Directory also gives a system wide list of frequently used numbers for speed dialling via Phone Manager
feature phone with a suitable display.
For example "Head Office" can be displayed when a known Caller ID is received. A user can also select
Office" in the Directory List in Phone Manager or on the display phone Directory to speed dial this number.
Office's Directory is LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) compliant which allows it to be synchronized
the information on any LDAP server. A maximum of 500 records can be retrieved by this method.

You now to scroll through 10000 entries in the directory would easily take as many key strokes as dialing the number itself. Assuming you weren't looking for the first few entries of each 3 letters.

You should be able to import it with Manager using the Directory.csv file.
Don't know if it's wise to have that many entries though.
One customer complained that the system got "slow" when they added a lot of entries since to has to search through the directory each time a new call is made or enters the system. That might been fixed by now.

If you are going to have 10000 today you will have 10001+ tomorrow. The better way to do this would be to use the 3rd Party IVR and store the entries in SQL then do a lookup via your call flow and retrieve the name information to be used in your transfer.

...what is "Fooball"?
