using CCM7, 7941, 7945, 7961, 7962, 7965
help!!!
when I want to use the hardbuttons: one EM profile is only able to be used for 1 type of phone.
what should you do?
so, here's the issue:
even the exact same -newer- model 7961 -> 7962, is an other one, according to cisco.
so what to do if the user programmed the second button on a 7941, or all other buttons on a 7961, and then logon to a 7962?
the buttons don't work.
I can import the 1000 users with BAT 5 times, 1 for each profile.
but:
- big database
- if he/she leaves: manually remove all 5 profiles
- new user: create 5 profiles (+ therest...) or is using BAT faster? I don't think so
- she is going to be married, name change in 5 profiles
- user logs on: choose the correct profile, and then logon
- also: 5 /ccmuser profiles?
as you can understand, I'm going to be crazy
what would you do:
- buy 1000 phones -same model-?
then wait 1 yr and cisco has a new model.
- put all models in one departmant? (then also see previous problem)
Why Cisco...?
with 400 huntpilots* (a few add/move/change on a weekly basis)
with the weekly add/del of (a few**) persons
with the corresponding pages to fill in or (super)copy and then fill in.
lots! of work. too much if you ask me.
BAT is no answer to solve this. Hopefully Cisco will work on a friendly admin tool next version:
copy user x, with name y and number z; submit (10 seconds instead of 5 minutes!).
(admin definable) Templates would also be great.
(*)Cisco: create a HP template: I only fill in the number, select the users + submit. (10 sec, instead of 5 minutes!)
(**) we do have a nice company, not firing lots of them, it's just lots of admin work;-)
well, thanks for reading this.
what's your solution for this all, or what things are bothering you?
