On a DELL Inspiron 1100, (running XP) using a Linksys Wireless-G Notebook adapter and a Lynksys Wireless-G Broadband router, I've experienced intermittent internet connections. At different times, some users I've set up on the PC can connect flawlessly while others can't. At other times none of the users can connect. Linksys tech support suggested I call Dell and explain that the "0 Wireless Configurator" was set up improperly and needed to be reinstalled. I explained all that to Dell tech support but he didn't address the "0 Wireless Configurator" issue; just gave some lame explanation of why it wasn't working and suggested I always log in with the user account that could connect.

So... what is a "0 Wireless Configurator" and how do I reinstall it?

Thank you very much.

Zero Wireless Configurator thingy is a built-in wireless tool with XP. I use Dell Latitude D600 laptops. About 150 of them. In my tooltray, down by my clock, I have a little green signal strength indicator. Clicking on that brings up lots of wireless settings/options. If you run XP, do the same. See what you can do. That's your ZWC.

When I ran XP on an older HP laptop, I used a Linksys WPC11 and didn't install the Linksys config tools. I just used XP and it worked well.

Hard to say what you ahve installed though...
