Since the product is ManageX evidently you are a MCSE guy (minesweeper consultant Solitare Engineer). I work with the UNIX openview products. But let me suggest one thing. You did not mention what product you are taling about The version of Network Node Manager is 5.X or 6.X The versions of VPO is 5.X or 6.X There is no single product called Openview. IT is a family of products. Please clarify what product and maybe we can be more help- EmilVelez

If you cannot take the course (which is my recommendation) you may want to just install the software on a NT or UNIX system and let it discover your network and then start exploring.
