It always started when I was typing in an office product and carried over to text boxes in explorer. I went to microsoft to just look around and did their check for updates thing. It said there was an office update and I did it. Just dumb luck!

I cleared my cache and verified I have the most recent version of Java installed and yet it still chooses to not show me all of the images that exist on a page.

I am using win xp sp2. One day the pages are fine and the next day they are not. I have tried using the back button,refreshing, closing, shutting down and nothing.

While viewing certain webpages,my personal site as well as many others, using IE 6 and Firefox, images have begun to disappear that were once there. These include pictures, icons, buttons, etc. The trouble is that they NEVER come back. Anyone have any clue?

Update: Thanks to everyone that helped me sort this gigantic mess out. I am happy to announce that after finally getting ahold of someone at NEtgear, I was able to install the correct drivers. After that and spendig 80 min onthe phone with tech support with my internet provider, seems SP2...

I removed the Belarc and tried to update the MAI driver with the install cd and that produced a bad device driver blue screen. So I rolled it back and have contactd Netgear about how to fix this. I am assuming the net...dat file is related as well but Im not sure.

The MAI111.sys file is for my wireless internet setup. I would thinK I need to keep this. Do I need to update it?

I did the sigverif thing and I have 3 unsigned drivers. They are bantext.sys, mal111nd5.sys and netfltconfig.dat. I can follwo the instructions to diable them but how do i know I dont need them?

The blue screens all said Bad Pooler Header at the top. Stop msg something about device not working correctly. It was when I was shutting down for teh restart after installing SP2. I have since uninstalled it.

It wouldnt let me strt in regular mode. The instructions o the blue screen said to start in safe mode to find the error. I couldnt get it to ever get to the sign in screen. Thos ewere the erros I got from trying to start in reg mode. I was viewing them inthe event viewer while in safe mode.

right-click My Computer, Properties, Advanced, Startup and Recovery, and uncehck to automaticly restart on errors. Now when you try to shutdown does it show an error message? You can also look in the event viewer to see what has been causing this.

Nothing in the spyware. The event log was checked and I think I eliminated the program that was causing some trouble. I havent had any problems tonight and I have shutdown w/o probs many times.
