Having a problem with Outlook 2007 (enterprise) crashing whenever an appointment is received or viewed. This only happens when the appointment is coming from another user in the Exchange environment. If a new calendar event is created with no one in it, then it is viewable. Attempted the...
This may seem like a nit-pick, but there is functionality in Outlook 2003 that was removed from 2007.
In the previous version, when looking at the e-mail pane, and clicking one of the headers to re-sort (From, Subject, etc), the messages would re-sort, but the default selected message would...
I am writing an app for Windows Mobild phones using the .NET compact framework, however I am running into a problem.
I am having to build in some logic to vertically scroll the screen to display information. Most of my users do not have touch-screen devices, so I want to use the d-pad to give...
dglienna, thanks for your suggestion, but it does not meet the criteria I was looking for. This is a desktop GUI that I need to be able to display local time for various US locations. I would rather not go the route of having to parse out an HTML page, therefore I was looking for a web-service...
I am writing a local GUI app that displays various location data. One of the features I would like to add is the ability to do a "local" time lookup for a specific location (probably by zip-code). Is anyone aware of a free web-service or API that I can query to get this information?
Thanks...
In VB6 there was this handy little function called 'App.PrevInstance' that would tell you if there was another instance of the current application already running. I cannot find a C# equivalent.
Is there one, or is there a way to spin through the active threads on the PC looking for another...
Is there any way to create (or even download) new Office Assistants that work with Office 2003? (other than the ones that came from Microsoft)
I remember several new ones being available with previous versions of Office (97 I think)... but cannot find anything for Office 2003.
Thanks!

What is the best way to have an application set up so that it automatically executes upon user logoff or system shutdown?
Thanks!

bbofin: I thought of this method as well, but it seemed a little inelegant. However if it ends up being the best way (the quickest), the I will end up utilizing it.
Thanks!

I have a situation where I need to extract a bunch of filenames (and their full path) from a folder tree where the files exist least 3 levels deep.
-RootDir
-SubDir1
-SubDir2
-FileName
I created a FileSystemObject recursive call that will get me what I need, but it is very...
I have had no problems sending mail from my iPAQ. The issue I was asking about was that if I turn on e-mail sync, I end up having a lot of messages from my inbox uploaded to my iPAQ, and I do not want that.

I checked this area earlier. It looks like the 'Deleted Items', 'Drafts', 'Inbox', 'Outbox' and 'Sent Items' folders are all sync'ed automatically (no way to de-select them that I can see).

I am looking for a way to have my iPAQ 1940 sync e-mail messages with my desktop, but only in the following ways:
- If I write an e-mail on the iPAQ and sync, it will be sent to the desktop, and then to the intended recipient
- NONE of the messages on my desktop computer will be sync'ed with...
One further question... what registry key needs to be accessed to get the logged-in user's Exchange profile name?
Thought for the day: Beware of Gods who cannot laugh...
I am developing an application that needs to access my company's Exchange server global address book in order to get a list of valid names. What would be the easiest way to accomplish this?
Thanks in advance.

Is there a way that one could get the NT/2000/XP Task Manager to run on Win9x? Alternately, are there 3rd-party apps that can show the same thing?
Basically I am looking for something that can show me a list of all running threads, how much RAM they are eating, and their processor utilization...
That seems to be working. Follow-up question... Is there a FAQ or document that has a list of what all the addresses point to (if I wanted to check parallel ports or anything else for example)
thanks! Thought for the day: Beware of Gods who cannot laugh...
What would be the best way to go about detecting the number of serial ports that a PC presently has? I have some older assembly routines that can tell me, but they seem to lock up some of the newer PC's that I have tested it on.
Thanks! Thought for the day: Beware of Gods who cannot laugh...
