    Every so often, out of 20 jobs that run each night, i'll have one or two hang after writing just one file and 40192 bytes. it will hang the rest of the night and the only way to cancel it successfully is to right click, choose cancel and reboot the box, it will not cancel out until rebooting...

    i have all my backup policies writing to Disk first. Fulls and Diffs. they all run to a disk staging storage unit and then on sundays, the staging then goes to tape. periodically, i'll have a policy that hangs either after the first file that's written or 25% through the backup to disk...

    cleaning drives with netbackup

    thanks a bunch OHWS ... netbackup now sees the 3 tapes as cleaning tapes ... that works great now. BUT :( i try to right click on the actual drive in teh loader and select "clean now" ... as netbackup should now know that there are cleaning tapes in the library. i continue to get the same...
