Is anyone aware of any DLL which has to be installed in the machine to use Filesystemobject for file handling. Please refer to the File Reading Speed thread by me for more info about the problem that I am having.
The info I got so far from my testing is, when I run the exe in a machine...
I am using FSO for file handling. There is no other process running which takes large amount of time. But I created a new exe and that seems to run faster in the same machine with XP. But in another XP machine it still takes about 6.5 min(faster though). So I am not sure what exactly is going...
Thanks for the reply. The processors and RAM are comparable. I know it is strange to have this much difference. But don't know why this is happening... I am still researching.. If anyone have more suggestions or anything please let me know.

I work with an application which is developed using VB 6.0. When it opens it reads a text file and creates some arrays. When the application is opening in Windows 2000 it is much faster than a machine with Windows XP. In 2000 it takes about 2 min and in Xp it is about 8 min. Is anyone...
