Missing Operating System
Well, what d'you know!!! After several frustrating attempts, for some reason I don't know, the installation of Win2K Pro is complete and the "Missing OS" error did not appear this time. Good morning dmacklam22 - No it does not say NTLDR is missing. wolluf - I used a scripted version of the 2K install CD, which is a standard we use for a client. I have to admit that I made a mistake by not checking for hardware specificity (assumed it would work now since it has worked before...- sabsido22

Missing Operating System
I have a new laptop that came with Windows XP Pro installed. I wanted it to have Windows 2000 Pro instead, so I rebuilt it (the laptop) from my company's standard CD Win2K OS Build. Now I get the dreaded error message "Missing Operating System" and I can't seem to get past it. Can someone help...- sabsido22
