Thanks. But actually I wasn't looking for form colors (I've got that well in hand), but for the general background color for Access 2003 - the color of the background when Access comes up, before a database is loaded (and serves as the background behind application objects). Thanks for the reply - but I must be dense. I went to Tools/Options on the A2003 menu (and on A2002 as well)... and no Background tab. Looked through all the options (I tried that before with no result). What tab is this under? Is there an add-in I don't have? Sorry to be so slow, but this...- joedem

Access 2003 Background Color
In A97 the color of the application background (not objects - just the area the objects sit on) is directly controlled by Windows appearance settings. Obviously not so in A2003 unless there is a way to tell A2003 to do so. And the default color is, well, not acceptable. I distantly remember...- joedem
