Hi, have you considered using a small cisco pix 501? That supports pptp and l2tp and could work in place of your router. I am doing a similar thing and it works great!

I am trying to find a way to build a vpn between a pix 501 and our main checkpoint firewall, NGFP4 (R55). The only problem is that the outside address of the pix is not static and so I cant define it in terms of its IP...
