check that catalog has the db login and password under the creator logon ...

Verify that the report has been saved from Impromptu, and that the report and catalog are accessible to the application.
Ensure that you did not double click the report to open it, but that it was opened from Imprompt using File, Open.
Run and test sample reports with sample catalog and see...

Are you wanting to print a pdf or an html? It is either one or the other.

Why would you view in html format then? To not see scrolling bars, you would view in another format...like XLS or PDF. Printing should never come from the Internet Explorer with the Print button.

IMPROMPTU : Create a copy of the catalog so that you have catalog A and catalog B. That seems to be what you are looking for. However, you maintain 2 catalogs instead of one.

There is a place for you to do these as chosen when you chose the boolean, but you have to set it up properly. Depends on what you need to do. But, it can be done.

I do have a report that when I generate the report interactively to get an html it takes 15 seconds to return. When I submit the same report to run behind the scenes, meaning the blue arrow with options for xls, pdf, html outputs, it takes an hour. Exact same report! Extremely complex report...
Besides the PDF suggestion, here are a couple others...
Set your page / list - rows to be 100000, and then you can scroll once to your second page.
You can also put your graphs first, and the crosstabs last.
You can have a link at the top of the report for each report to navigate quickly...
