Also thanks to Terri for assisting me in getting the rconag6 working.
Finally got it to work by unloading rconag6..like u said..followed by:
1. rconag6 encrypt <password> (all on one line)

how do i know what vol it takes?
is it take the next available vol number?...
having vol1...does it mount to next to vol2

when i enter ldronag.ncf...it still asks me to enter password before i can finish booting the server..is there a way around this so that the server will automatically know my password while booting?

Well thanks for the replies, I have the problem resolved.
I ended up reinstalling the server and everything is working now.
I must have messed up the first install.
I am running the server on pure ip, so the only protocol I have running is TCP/IP.
My IP address is 10.1.0.21 ... which is what I had set the server IP for during the server installation.
No i can not ping the server.
Do I need to get dhcp running in order to log onto the server? I...

Ok I tried choosing both and I had the same results for all 5 of my hard drives.
So..to solve the problem
1. I booted to a floppy with cd-rom support
2. FDISK..made a dos partition and rebooted
3. Used the command...format c: /s to mount system files on the dos partition
