Hi,
I am the IT Coordinator for a small junior high school with about 100 student laptops (1 to 1). All the laptops are same brand/model and Windows 7 Professional.
When the laptops were deployed, there were two user accounts set up, Admin and Student. Admin is password protected, Student is...
Hi have an upgrade project to add wireless IP phones to an existing Officeserv 100 rev. 2.0 on a new Aerohive AP b/g/n WLAN. The is a school and we don't want to add Samsung APs to the network. Are there any wlan phones that are compatible or if we were to use Samsung SMT-W5100 {or -5120)...
We had multiple Nortel Norstar KSUs in an office building and they wanted MOH not that default beep. We had a good source but there was ground hum when the two systems were connected. I tried the obvious, use an isolation transformer with a 1:1 winding. PERFECT!! Althogh we had to go to...
Mailbox Builder is the best for mass builds and deletes. It is an Excel file and macro working in conjunction with Procomm. I highly recommend it and it is easy to use.
Octel DecisionPro is an application which reads the Octel Database including mailbox profiles, does analysis, creates reports, and you can export the data into a spreadsheet. Unfortunatly this software is no longer sold by Octel/Avaya; you might find someone with a copy.
Mailbox Builder is an...
Retail clerks and managers are hard on phones, especially handsets. Some associates have respect for the store's equipment they use, some do not. I would bet the repair rate for that customer's other computer equipment is higher than norm, not just their phones.
Handset replacement is to be...

Ken, Thanks.
Too bad Force Personal Greeting isn't found at s/w level 1.2.
I think this site will be going Modular Messaging within a year, so it's doubtful an upgrade will happen.
Do you know if MM has this same option to force the personal greeting?
Re: My other question about monitoring...
I have a customer whose management wants all their associates create and maintain a Personal Greeting for their Type 0 mailboxes rather than the Standard Greeting (Octel 250 w Aria 1.2).
Is there a way to block the use of Standard Greeting?
Also is there a way to monitor that all mailboxes...
I think the problem is with PBX programming, not Octel.
The PBX should be inserting the originating Area Code into the CLID (originating number) for any outbound call (local or LD), I would assume its only working for 9 + 1 + A/C + 7-digit calls.
Octel wants to see the incoming Caller ID as 10...
Have your PBX tech verify ALL of the PBX station port programming noted in CN:5400 is correct for each Octel port. Those PBX ports connected to Octel are supposed to be configured as if it was connected to a 7405D set.
Finally, have the tech pull an Octel port cross-connect and attach a 7405D...
CautionMP - Thanks for the script, it works well. I can edit and tweak a few formatting issues and it will be ready to go.
Craig0201 - I am familiar with Monarch, unfortunately our IT dept does not support it, so I cant put on my PC.

I have a patterned text report of numerous voicemail distribution lists that I want to move to Access. My goal is to 1) look up an individual's mailbox and identify all distribution lists it could receive messages from and 2) list all individual mailboxes a distribution list will send to.

Station Auxillary Power Supply is necessary for a Central Answering Position module and is 10 Volts DC on pair 3.
Also check the Station Cord is 6 or 8 conductor, otherwise the power doesn't get from the jack to the phone. ;-)
One thing I remember from Norstar installation class:
"You always...

This sounds like a telephony problem rather than a Procomm issue. A few suggestions to check and try...
The Procomm modem sensing the dialout of the Credit Card modem may be caused if the CC modem is set to dial out in ROTARY mode. The rotary pulses have been known to send...
We also use the Excel printing & scissors method. We tried standard copier paper but when you pop the key caps, the little paper rectangles go flying away.
So we use a medium card stock because it is thicker and fits snugly inside the clear key caps. You might need a paper clip or stick pin...
There is a new Outlook Plug In for Avaya MM that was recently announced. Looks like it addresses a lot of misc. issues with the previous versions of the MM plugin for Outlook. Follow this Avaya Support link and read the notes to see if this will solve your problem...
