Help with inbound routing from CUCM

Hi, I have a CUCM 8.6 trunk setup with Lync 2010 which is working fine for outbound calls. I'm having a problem routing into Lync users. The user LINE URI is TEL: +16505551212 I have a route pattern in CUCM which allows abbreviated dialing of 61212 and transforms to +16505551212 When I turn...

    NAT or DNS rewrite question

Okay, I learned quite a bit. 1. It seems we are doing 2 NATs, one in the PIX and one in the router just outside the PIX. 2. It seems that a router outside our PIX is doing DNS rewrite such that the packets going from the external DNS are being rewritten to contain the first NAT IP (10.20...

    NAT or DNS rewrite question

It is the second case. The lookup is against the public dns but returning the internal ip. A query from outside the network (not dmz or inside) but directed at the same public dns returns the external ip.

    NAT or DNS rewrite question

Hi, We're having an issue with DNS on our DMZ. Basically users on say phones on the Wifi network connect to our DMZ. When they lookup our mail server, they are getting the internal IP and not the public IP. The strange thing is it appears, using a laptop to test, like the DNS server is...

NAT help needed for Windows 2003 server

I am pinging from within the Windows box itself. There is a specific reason I need it to run on this server. The application on the server only works with internal IPs. It puts the IP inside the packet itself (not header). So I am trying to trick it into thinking there is no NAT.

NAT help needed for Windows 2003 server

Well, the router (NAT device) knows how to route packets for 192.168.101.X fine. I want the packets leaving the Windows box to be sent towards a 192.168.101.X address but for the application running on the Windows box to just send them to the 172.17.18.X address. The router should be entirely...

NAT help needed for Windows 2003 server

Hi, I am trying to setup NAT on a Windows 2003 server. I don't need or care if other systems use it to NAT, I only care about requests emanating from this server itself. I need to NAT a couple of static address, and then an entire range with a dynamic rule. For example, all 192.168.101.X ->...

    Cisco Unified Operations Manager

We tried it but gave up after being so frustrate trying to get it to work and the lack of good support. The stuff that did work was quite unimpressive anyhow. If you're looking for just monitoring, there's the free RTMT which is okay. We went with Clarus Systems because of the really detailed...

Cisco Unified Operations Manager and Service Monitor Advice

I tried the eval copies of both and ended up not going forward with the purchase. I was mainly interested in getting alerts, monitoring server health and generating some CallManager reports. The product is this big bohemith (the install took me 50 min itself) but didn't really have that much...

Does anyone know how to configure AAR??

Okay, so my route groups would have the HQ gateway both in the primary spot, the Branch1 would really differ in that it would have an additional gateway (the local one) in the last priority spot, right. Then I just point my Branch phones to it's Route List/Group via different CSS. Sounds...

Does anyone know how to configure AAR??

Okay so for the scenario I described, you're saying to have two route lists->route groups, one for the HQ gateways, 1 for the Branch1 gateway. Now, for Branch1 phones, I want to be able to have my HQ gateway tried first, before going to the local Branch1 gateway if the call is local to my HQ...

Does anyone know how to configure AAR??

Okay, ya I know about route patterns->lists->groups->gateways. I guess my new questions isn't necessarily related to AAR. Let's assume I am using toll bypass to route calls in my HQ local area over the WAN between my branch and HQ. At my Branch, any call that matches say 91415XXXXXXX will be...

Does anyone know how to configure AAR??

Thanks again. So are you saying the AAR CSS will be checked first, before the phone CSS for the route pattern selection (kinda like the DN CSS)? The situation I envisioned was where a company wanted to restrict users to local calls only plus any branch office. In the event there was no BW...

Does anyone know how to configure AAR??

Thanks. Let me make sure I understand. Support I have two sites (HQ1 and Branch1) with centralized call processing at the HQ1. I have a WAN link connecting HQ1 to Branch1 and am enforcing CAC using Locations. Either the WAN link goes down or there is insufficient bandwidth to make a call...

Does anyone know how to configure AAR??

I've experimented trying to setup AAR to cause rerouting based upon insufficient bandwidth but haven't been successful. I believe part of my problem is confusion about how they actually work. I realize the AAR group allows you to specify a prefix needed to dial the rerouted number. But what...
