nope, it was using a new netID every time because i was error-checking by putting it to the message window along with netDone and the string that i'm trying to put the text to... so i'd see something like:

i'm developing an application that uses getNetText and postNetText for a text file that stores user responses. everything works ... sort of.
two problems:
i open director and play the movie, and when i click on one option it gets text using getNetText. but the first time i play it, it doesn't...
i created a puzzle game like 1-player tetris attack for the snes. it uses puppet sprites for the blocks and may have up to 960 blocks at one time. i use an external text file for the high scores list. the game works fine in director mx, and i was able to create a projector that works.
