Random appearances in the system tray
No the PC does not learn its profiles from a network, in that respect it is stand alone. It is networked to my Linux Box but just for more storage and development. I do log in with a username and password. I'll give the profiling a look, when it plays up i do get the error bong from the speakers.- ebmebiomed

Random appearances in the system tray
I have been running 2000 for a while now and the annoyance I have is that sometime icons appear in the system tray and sometimes they do not. Matrox powerdesk is the biggest offender, everything is up to date and it still seems to depend on the day of week as to whether the icon appears or not...- ebmebiomed
