    Install Windows as usual. If you have DNS running already, make sure it works. If you don't have DNS, don't worry. Run DCPROMO from Start/Run or the command line. It is wizard driven to create an AD forest for you, and it can automatically install/configure DNS as well.

    MOM does not modify the schema, though during the install process you do need to create a few user accounts and assign user rights to some of them, but no schema changes. As for testing MOM, it is always a good idea to test any new software in the lab to ensure there are no incompatibilities...
