    Websphere Deployment

I have had issues deploying ColdFusion under Websphere, but some of those at least appear to be clearing up. Websphere does not expand the EAR completely, and missed a large portion of the required coldFusion files.. I have expanded this myself and manually deployed the contents, but I am now...

    ColdFusion EAR Deployment in WebSphere

As an Update, I have been feeling that the problem lies in the connection between websphere, and the HTTP server.. I removed the default application, theorizing that the context roots could be conflicting, and managed to get at least some indication that the connection is now present, however...

    ColdFusion EAR Deployment in WebSphere

I've been fighting with getting ColdFusion up and running under Websphere for a couple of days now and most documentation out there seems to suggest I'm missing something incredibly simple, or I am doing something terribly wrong. This is my first experience with Websphere, and I simply need to...

    Simple Sanity Check Question

Thanks guys.. That confirms what I thought.. I'm just so used to windows lately.. I'm confused when solutions are so simple =)

    Simple Sanity Check Question

I have /var/log mounted on a drive which just failed.. I can just mkdir log in var, and get operation again, right? I'm not over simplifying it am I? I just need a sanity check, as It sounds too simple to me..

    Spring + Hibernate under JRUN4

I've since solved this one.. There were some JAR files which were not deployed to the correct place. I was unable to automatically deploy the JAR's, as JRUN4 has some "quirks" with initialization. However once I dropped the rest of the JAR's required in the correct location, the remaining...

    Hibernate, Multi DB?

I've got a prototype app running, which management are very eager to deploy.. Which is unsurprising, as it tramples on the original version. However it's using Spring/Hibernate, and the connection object is instatiated at server initialization, based on the settings in the Hibernate...

    Insert Into Returning

Hi, I've inherited an app riddled with insert into x. select max(id) from X insert maxid into Y... I'm looking to execute inserts into Oracle, returning the ID, using "Insert into <table> (<cols>) values(<vals>) returning ID into <cfqueryparam...>" Although it doesn't seem to allow me...

    Spring + Hibernate under JRUN4

Hi, I have an app which I've been developing under Tomcat 5.. Running with Spring and Hibernate. I have a Hibernate servlet running under JRUN4, but I have been unable to activate the Spring Frameworks.. JRUN gives me.. "Error: Unable to preload servlet" in the logs.. That's it.. Nothing...

    Java and Delphi (Com?)

I have an upcomming project, which involves writing a piece of functionality in Java, which is capable of interfacing, with an existing delphi application. The delphi application is open for any changes I need to make to it to make this possible, does anyone have a good suggestion for the...

    Deployment

Nothing so grand.. Pure HTTP Interfacing.. As far as Actuate is concerned.. My app is just another web-browser.

    Deployment

I created a util in Delphi, which posts data via HTTP post calls. First it Mimics the login call, to authenticate. It then mimics the upload of a report, retrieving the report UID, from the HTTP output. Using that UID, it then calls an update on the report, with the version number I wish to...

    Login Tag Error

Unfortunately our solution was exceptionally inefficient. We had no resources to dedicate to fixing the problem at the time, so it was left as it was. A couple of weeks later, it simply stopped happening. I'm afraid this isn't the most useful reply, but their wasn't anything anyone could...

Hi all, I'm running Actuage 6 e.Report Designer Proffesional, and I'm editing a report which executes fine on our server. When I run it locally however, it chokes on CreateJavaObject("classname") I get "Basic Error 98 : .... Create Java Virtual Machine Failed : Bad File Descriptor" Does...

    Deployment

Thanks for the reply I've since written a util over the weekend in Delphi, which will upload the file and stamp it with a given version label. I'm interfacing with Actuate 6, and so far I'm un-impressed by this over-kill reporting solution which in other area's lacks the basics.. Ahh well...
