The error reads as follows:
"Y-axis position failure, the drum is not where is should be, possibly because the drum position sensor electronics have failed, or because the motor drive or drive belts have failed, or because something is physically blocking the motion of the drum"
What I would...
Mike,
I cannot find that error code you mentioned. The closest thing I can get to is 9,037.42 and this error message is a failure with the ink load assembly. Xerox recommends checking the ink chute ( possibly yellow ). A couple of exact messages from the manual are "Check for a blown F3 fuse...
I wish I could tell you. I use a vendor through our company and I do not think they sell to the public. I would do a search on eBay. I would also do searches over the web. I am sure something is bound to pop up either way you go. Sorry I could not be of much more help than that.
You will need torx bits to remove the 2 screws that secure this cover. When you open the front door, you will notice 2 torx screws on the left side. The upper screw holds the side panel. Then when you move around back, there should be 1 torx screw there that secures the rear of the door. Let...
Have you looked on eBay? I wish I could help you but the company I work for has a supplier we use for our parts. I am not sure where they get their parts from. I would say eBay is your best chance.
Take the right side cover off the printer ( as you are looking at the printer ) and you will notice a white 3 notched clutch wheel with a solenoid near it. The solenoid is called a Transfix solenoid and they have a high rate of failure due to their noise reduction pad. Everything is located on...
This may be the heater, but I have also seen that when you do not use Tektronix brand wax, you get the same problem. I have a customer that wants to save money by buying the 3rd party wax. It appears to be a little harder than Tektronix brand wax. Hence, it takes more heat to melt the wax and...
Bacardi, I have had my hands on a few Phaser 850's and the biggest thing I have found is the solenoids stick due to the quiet pad Tektronix/Xerox uses. You can try to scrape the pad off and thoroughly clean any residue off the contact so it does not stick or you can replace the solenoid. Now...
miavsfan,
the drum heater lights are supposed to smoothly come on and off during the warm up phase. If they are flickering on and off rapidly, my guess is the quartz may be bad. But otherwise, they will turn off and on within certain periods of the powering up of the printer.
I wish I could help you. I am having the same problem with my 360. It says warming up and initializing, but never ready. I hope there is a reasonable remedy for this. Best of luck.
