Thanks for the empathy linney.
I did find that while it doesn't search Outlook directly when typing in the search field in File Explorer, I can select the "Search again in" drop-down and choose Microsoft Outlook. That delivers decent results from Outlook... takes a little more work than in Win...
Hello. I just upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10. In Win 7 I used to be able to use the start menu search to find items in Outlook 2010 (email, contacts, appointments, whatever...). It seems like that function is gone from the start menu search (Cortana).
But I have read that I should...
Well, you're feeling my pain. It is a nuisance! CR8 would size as I mentioned above after "can grow" was checked. (I see that I accidentally typed "CR 2008" once in my original post).
I hope that somebody else has some input that will help both of us.
Thanks for your reply kray4660.
Using Crystal Reports 2011 (version 14 when I look in "help/about") changed from CR 8 recently.
When I create a text box, the height matches the font size. But when I increase the font size, the text object height does not change and only the top of the text shows. This is the same as it was...
You're onto something here linney.
I previously dumped the Adobe Reader association, which didn't help.
I repaired office -- no help.
BUT when I logged on as a different user, the default assoc came up as excel and it opened in excel when I double clicked the file! Excellent!

I am writing a query and want to combine two subqueries in an unusual way.
Is there any way to combine the contents of subqueries and so that you have the complete data sets from each subqry in independent rows... add the rows from subqry 2 to subqry 1 (rather than adding columns from subqry 2...
I am recycling an old server and using Win2K server software that is on hand. I also have 25 CALS. However, I cannot find the floppies for the CAL install - I just have the paper copy of the license with the License Authorization Number, License Agreement Number, etc. I have been through...

Type or paste your SQL statement
Right click in the SQL pane & execute

Hello,
I recently migrated from SQL 2000 to 2005. In SQL 2000 Enterprise Manager, I was able to edit and commit data on-the-fly directly from the results pane. Action->Open Table->Query. I could write and execute a select statement and the results pane would show the resulting data. The...
