Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
I get the same error on backup exec 8.6 with a sony SDX-D500C drive. SONY wasn't too helpful but after two online sessions I got the following info. Download their drive diagnostic utility. (SONY Tape Utility) Check out the testing tab. Don't upgrade the firmware unless you have a good reason...- TechCom
