I have a strange problem that I've been trying to fix for the past two weeks. I've seen posts here (did a search) that have the same problem, but none of the solutions thus far offered have worked in my case. I'll try to explain the full scenario in details and hopefully it will neither be too...
Ok. quick question.
I had some old betamax tapes (vacation tapes from the 70s/80s and I wanted to convert them to DVD. I got my hands on a Betamax player, hooked it into my standalone DVD recorder (GoVideo) and made a DVD from 3 tapes. Now, I don't really like the DVD/titling options that...
That's just it, I don't currently have a query to rank revenue. It's something that is done while the report loads using a counter and a macro. The portion that takes a long time is the "formatting page" portion. Which it has to do for every page, even if you just click through the...
Ok, so I figured out how to get my Top 50 Report going. It works great. However, because my file has nearly 100k records, whenever I want to open the report, it takes roughly 10-15 minutes. Secondly, if I need to print any portion (the report is approximately 10000 pages total). Each page...
Is there an automated way to have Excel find dates from a date that is specified only to the last day that year which is not specified? For instance, I bought a stock on February 1, 2002. I then bought more stock that year, and some in 2003. However, I only want to see any stock I bought...

Just an update, I've put the expression into a query and then through that into my report and changed CanGrow to yes and voila! it works! Thanks again!
Ok, modified my statement, now getting a syntax error. Am I supposed to put this in a query, then access that query through the report? I tried putting "Address: [address_1] & [address_2]" into the control and still got "syntax error in expression". Anyway, you deserve a...
Ok, I've been trying your suggestions JonFer, the second one in particular. It seems to me it should work great, but when I try and use it, I get the following error message:
" is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid characters or punctuation and that it is not...
It would be too difficult to break up this data as it comes from another source in this format. I would love to break down those address lines, etc. But it would be too much work for me. This database of 90000 records is only a small part of a bigger database of 600000+ entries.
Sure, this is how I want it to look.
Account No. Client Name
----------------------------------------------------
00000001 John Doe
Jane Doe
00000002 James Smith
00000003 Jack Smith Cust for...
I have a database of clients in which there are 6 fields set aside for address lines. There is also a field called "namelines" that has a value of 1 to 6. This value shows how many fields are actual names of clients and not address portions. Is there a way to have my report show...
It's stored as a number, and thanks for the help with the phone numbers, both solutions were very helpful.
If I merely try and format the dates as they are as a date field. 30298 for instance is converted to something along the lines of 6/08/37. It counting days, etc.
I had to import a CSV file for a new project I'm working on. I did everything I needed to do and my report came out fine, except that the reps are claiming they need the dates and phone numbers in a standard format.
I could easily fix this in Excel, but I can't because the CSV file has 95,000+...
Indeed. Either way, many many thanks for all your suggestions and tips. Just glad that movie project is behind me. No more last minute favors for friends, lol.
Well, I was trying to import MPG video at first, so I went back and imported it using ATI's software (albeit at 352x240 (or the closest variant)). I then took that and imported it into Premiere. It was still a little difficult to work with and the syncing was nearly completely off. So after...
