Hi, Don't know if this is any help, but we use a barcode scanner with an ipaq h2210. It's called a 'SOCKET IN-HAND SCAN CARD (ISC)' and it fits into the CF slot.

Thanks Glohamar, Yes, the modems are identical. In fact I just took a working modem out of one of the 1.10.07's and put it in a 1.00.10 machine. It didn't work! Do you know if you can upgrade the ROM, like a firmware upgrade?

This mobo has onboard graphics/sound/network and is fanless. I can't actually remember if it has ever beeped on startup (helpful I know!) the is no internal speaker attached, so I guess that it wouldn't anyway!

The Dell optical mouse works fine when plugged into any of the onboard USB ports.
