    Having another problem - trying to update win98 through windows update ... for some reason I can't load activex controls on the page, even though my security settings clearly allow all activex controls. Windows update interprets this as a non-admin log in, but the fact is I have no logins on...

    Yes it wouldn't be hard to make a cross over cable I suppose, but now I've created this situation where any time a jumpdrive is plugged into the computer it crashes, a situation I'd like to remedy. I can transfer files via other means well enough (if nothing else I'll just move the hard drive)...

    @G0AOZ: If I reboot, win98 crashes upon startup again. I cancel the log in screen as always and then the same dialog pops up trying to recognize the hardware ... just like when I first plug jump drive in, it's this dialog that crashes to the blue screen.

    Hi folks Just bought a 1gb cruzer mini to transfer stuff from an old win98 computer to our new xp system. I downloaded the driver from sandisk's website, which said it was for win98 SE... I'm not sure if I have that but I assume I don't because now whenever I plug in the jumpdrive a dialog...
