I bought a new Toshiba laptop with a copy of WinXP preinstalled earlier this year. I've decided I want a full format and a reinstall of Windows, my laptop wasnt supplied with a WinXP CD. Can I install from another copy of WinXP I bought and installed on another PC? Will I be able to activate?
The IEEE 1394 Connection is shown as active on both machines, I know there's some activity though through both machines having exchanged some bytes in the status window. Theres no icon for the connection in the task tray. I tried bridging the connections with ethernet connections and a bubble...
I read with interest the thread about removing the IEEE 1394 bridge to enable a network. My question is how do I set up a direct firewire connection between two PC's?
I have the machines connected, same workgroups, users etc.
I've been having trouble with this one for a while.
