XP Registry problems, can't run .EXE files .lnk either
I can run IE and have used symantec and trend micro to scan for viruses. When I get home I'll try the suggestion to see if I have the sircam remnants in my registry. Thanks guys, any other ideas are welcome Mike- mical59

My Xp box no longer runs any programs. My desktop icons are all generic except the basic ones, like My computer..... I have looked through this forum and thought I had it pegged from another post but no. Maybe someone out there can offer me some insight. I can't recover from a restore point...- mical59
