Hey RhythmAce,
I don't seem to have a sendmail.cw file. If I create this file and add the previous entry, will it take effect? Or is there something else I have to do.
Thanks Guys. I tried both horde and squirrel mail and I think I'm gonna go with the squirl mail. The interface seems to be a little cleaner. Thanks for the advice.
I have a linux box hosting my own domain and email. My question is how do I accept email for another domain and have that email treated as if it were for my domain? I thought this was done in the domaintable file so I added the entry for the domain I wanted to accept mail for and I also added my...
I have a linux server hosting my own email and domain. I was wondering if anyone knew of a good(and free) web based email client so I can check my email over the internet. Thanks in advance for your help.
I have a linux box hosting a few domains. I would like to set up the server to allow people to check email without being able to login to the system through telnet, ftp, ssh, etc. Can anyone help?
I am having a problem with sendmail. I set a RH7.3 server to host my own domain. The problem i'm having is that sendmail will not send email to other domains. The message that it sends to outlook is "example.com, relaying denied for domain". Shouldn't it send to any domain as long a...

I have a server running Redhat 7. I used to have a static IP on cable, but my ISP(@home) decided to switch over to DHCP(those bastards). Anyway, I have been trying to setup my external interface(eth0) to use DHCP instead of a static IP. The problem is that there must be something wrong with my...
Does anyone know how to configure a linux system to power down completely? Everytime I run "Shutdown -h now" on my server, the darn thing shuts down all the processes but at the end, it just says "The system has been halted. It is ok to Power Down." What I want is for the...

I am trying to add a second interface to my server. I have the correct file configuration in the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts directory, but when I do a "./ifup eth1" in the shell, it says "Delaying initilization of eth1". What the Hell?! It says the same thing when it...
You will want to add that partition to the /etc/fstab file. When you reboot the system, that partiton should mount to the mounting point you designated in that file.
Rycamor,
I know what you mean by not using the GUI. In my opinion, you're not a true admin unless you can get a server completely running from the shell alone. That is why I am not installing X. I am pretty savvy when it comes to setting up the server as far as DNS, Web, NFS, etc. But I know...
Is there a way to telnet securely over the internet without comprimising the security of my server? I heard about ssh but how does that work. Please Help.
