Thanks for the reply. The drum door did open, and if another color cartridge was put in this slot, it would not print that color. It seems to be something relating to that cartridge position. The machine is destined for the scrap heap.
Thanks for the reply. I have already run the full calibration and nothing changed. Did replace the cartridge lock kit in another printer in the same office, so that was one of the first things I checked. The locks look ok and they are the white ones. I have seen the cpr sensor out of range...
I have a color laserjet 3800 with the yellow missing. I have been able to narrow it down to the yellow cartridge slot. The cartridge is brand new and will work in another slot without problem. Error 54.0c.03 and 54.0f.03 errors show up in the event log report. Have googled these errors without...
I had this problem when I replaced my drive with a larger hard drive. It comes down to the removable or zip drives taking precedence over the internal drives. The fix was to unplug or disconnect all the removable drives and reinstall windows. After windows was installed, reconnect the...
Blank bars mean no light hitting the drum in those areas. Check the mirror on the laser for dust, smudges or other obstructions. Sometimes things can get between the mirror and the drum too, causing light streaks.
Yes, I did have paper stopped at different locations in the printer. I know this sounds very strange, I thought so too, until I tried another fuser from the printer next to it. When the HP tech told me it was the fuser, I had to question him about being sure he understood my problem. I also...
I had a similar problem with an 8100. After talking with HP, it was determined the fuser was the culprit. Apparently, the fuser and the duplexer are using the same power lines, and fuser problems can cause false duplexer codes. Replacing the fuser fixed my problem.
Start firefox in safe mode and remove all the extensions. Then uninsall and re-install firefox. After it comes up you can reinstall the extensions. That should take care of it.
Two possibles here. (at least what I've run into.) Is the cart. a genuine HP cart.? The printer has auto cart. detection, and most of the refub, refills, and such don't report cart. status. The printer also states "Cartridge Installed" for about 10 seconds on printer startup. It is easy to...
The laser/scanner is under the top cover. The small back right side cover has to come off first, then the control panel snaps off. Be careful with this because the wire is right below this and is quite short. After that is removed, there are four screws holding the top on. Two under the...
