    Thanks for the quick response. I guess I have to give you more info. ME is on a Gateway machine that won't boot past the wallpaper (no Icons). I would like to unistall ME without loosing everything and then put 98SE on it. Is it doable???

    Win ME to Win 98se

    My computer doesn't always boot correctly with Windows ME. Sometimes I get to my Desktop and There are no icons. Can I "Downgrade" from Windows ME to Windows 98SE?
