Kicks does not recognized cell phone tones?

I had a Rogers AT&T cell phone that would not log into a call pilot, i had to get rid of the phone and switch cell providers away from AT&T, i'm not sure but i suspect its the way the network handles or retransmits dtmf (cdma/tdma issue maybe?) because it didnt matter what handset I tried.

    MB number Change

Not for the faint of heart... With a keyboard, mouse and monitor on a NAM, i've managed to change mailbox numbers, but you want to keep the digit length the same as all the other boxes. Right now i can't remember exactly what directory to look in, but it wasnt hard to find. Each mailbox...

MICS DID phantom directly to NAM mailbox

I've read the FAQ about phantom locals, and i just wanted to clarify how the Answer DN worked. I'm willing to sacrafice a 7324 if placing an answer dn of a phantom DID local on it will mean DID calls will forward into the respective mailbox. Anyone tried this? Or have a better way to do it?

    NAM 1 probably 3.0 s/w. Re-install, "cannot continue"

Just came across a problem, I took a nam and did a re-install to it. Its a copper 4 port. When i performed the re-install, it said "configuring" for about 3 minutes with lots of HD noises. It exits. I do the login using the initial password, which it accepts, i step through the...

    Christmas Wish List from Norstar

i have a couple customers who'd like to have BGM in their headset instead of over the phone... Insurance agent, 10 agents in a room, all want the radio, supervisors and idle agents dont want to hear the radio, nor do the agents on a call want the customer to hear the radio from a set beside...

HOW TO have2 MICS 6.1 tied together 170 sets

Previously I had a site that had a fully loaded norstar MICS 4.1XC. Every digital port had a phone, every fibre port had station modules, 2 - T1 cards, and a fully max'ed out companion. The system ran fine, 8 port nam was flawless, only slowness we saw was on things like the caller ID inbound...

mics 4.1 night ring on all sets - with voicemail

Sounds interesting, but since most of the phones that ring have voicemail and are forwarded to voicemail using FTR 984, won't the call go to the lowest intercom mailbox in the group of phones that ring?

mics 4.1 night ring on all sets - with voicemail

Cool Hawks, how do i get the NAM to answer the line only during nite service? I see in the nam i can turn on and off line answer for each line, but how do i tell it to answer only for night?

mics 4.1 night ring on all sets - with voicemail

I think i found a way, but maybe someone has a cleaner way? i take an m7100, set it up in the phone room, assign a service mode to ring that phone only during the night service on line 6 (the desired line). Forward that phone into vmail using FTR 984. Set up a mailbox that plays a greeting...

mics 4.1 night ring on all sets - with voicemail

Got an interesting (to me anyway) problem, I have a mics 4.1 with 10 2 way analog trunks as part of an overline (or rotary depending on what your area calls them). On line 6, we have a 'real number' which can be called directly which rings that trunk only. We have a NAM 4.0 set up just as a...

    norstar handset cleaning product

how about a non technical question... Trying to clean the dead skin and makeup off norstar handsets, yet everything i've tried leaves the handset feeling clean and usually not sticky, but leaves white residue where the skin oils/dirt/makeup were. Black handsets... Doesnt seem to be wear...

    Auto answer with message?

David, you need to find out what kind of voicemail system you have. If it is a small 2 inch deep unit that when you open the front door, has a PCMCIA card sticking out from a slot, that means you do not have whats called a NAM voicemail. If its a large unit that is shaped and sized exactly...

    Voicemail holding the calls

Assuming supervision on all your trunks is turned to on, and you are experiencing really long disconnect supervision timing, some modified instructions in the greetings users hear when leaving a message can help. You may also need to modify wether "return to AA" in the NAM is yes or...

2 SETS - SAME DN (EXACT COPY?)

Thats a good start - doing the copy function, but that won't make both phones have the same DN extension number or make both phones ring when you call one. You basically have 2 options. Create a hunt group and assign that group to both phones as a key (shows up at the top of the phone with any...
