An RPC communications error occurred.
visit http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;303156 Explains certain version of Exch 5.5 depend on DNS resolution. fixed my problem receiving the event id 9318. I had a post Exc5.5 SP3 fix installed. Ensure all Exchange servers have DNS setup in TCP / host file entries.- speedy91

OWA and CheckPoint Firewall
I am having the same trouble I have set up OWA with EX5.5 w/SP3 through CheckPoint firewall. The firewall is located between OWA and Exchange.
