After 12 years of EDI this is the first time I've heard anyone ask about EDI certifications. My trading partners do not ask about it and I deal with Wal-Mart and the rest.

Thanks for the replies. I realize that I could use a UPS but thought that WinXP might have a setting somewhere to disable the auto-restart. The MBoard is whatever Dell installs in their boxes, without any monitoring software that I can find.
Hi.
We're experiencing numerous power issues here and my PC reboots each time the power drops and restarts. I wanted to have my PC not restart when one of these power issues happened. I can't find anywhere where this would be set. I've examined the Power Settings but can't find anything that...
Is there any place that describes what each zipped file does? It's a great set to have, but short of unzipping each file and reading the help file etc. I'd like to know what each one does.
Anything out there?
TIA.
Take advantage of any and all training courses offered by the EDI software vendor. Check out the on-line resources like www.ediuniversity.com and others.
Good luck.
Why not just go to 6.1.1, or 6.1.2, or 6.1.3?
Many advantages in the mapper, archive ability and more.
I've run 5.3 and 5.4, both stable and no problems found.
Good luck,
Bob
It would depend on what EDI translator they are using and how integrated it is with JDE.
The EDI translator sales and/or training department should be able to provide info about training. Ask them.
Good luck.

I went through the site and clicked on most of the links. I had no problem with any of them, running WinXP SP2, IE 6.0, SP2.
FWIW:"Mystic Coast is dedicated to the promotion of this region and it's idyllic way of life." Having been a proofreader in a prior life, 'it's' should be 'its'...
Many of my customers put comments in the MSG and/or NTE segments that reference their web site containing the T&C stuff. Othes put statements in the MSG's that "PO issued pursuant to standard T&C etc."
Either way you get hammered by fine print and web sites that change.
Good Luck.

Assuming that you have the appropriate player installed, I'm not sure you can do anything. If the page is poorly designed, or the html code that runs the flash code is bad, then it's up to the webmaster of the site. The index page should run the intro Flash code then call the next...
I've used IE6.0 on my W98se box at home for quite a while now with no problems. One suggestion is to remove IE6.0 via Add/Remove Programs. With this, the system will roll-back to IE5.5 or maybe 5.0. After this is done, you can update IE via the Update site. This approach has worked quite...
Bob:
I ran the Recovery Console, chdsk /r as you indicated. It ran to completion, fixed the bad sectors, but the PC still randomly reboots.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

I have a Dell P4/2.8 ghz, 512 RAM, 30gb free space. I want to install a new copy of Office 2003.
It accepts the license code, I can choose the programs I want to install and then it dies with a Fatal Error. The setup logs indicate a Fatal Error of 1603, but the MS web site doesn't indicate what...
I have 2 pc's, P3/1.2ghz, both running XP, 512 RAM, 40gb drives etc. Both are rebooting automatically, then they display a screen with options to boot into safe mode, choose last known working configuration and start normally. No matter which I pick, the pc will get to a random point, and...
The biggest difference is probably how the earlier versions before 4010 handle the dates, pre Y2K, as a YYMMDD format. Otherwise it's usually a matter of conditional items and qualifiers. The relationships change from version to version.
Not a whole lot a good translator package can't handle...
