No, I was asking for an opinion--if someone has a technique for doing this that can be described in general terms, or if this is too complex to do easily in Access, then I wonder if someone has had some experience with Crystal Reports.

I go one step further and set the form's visible property to false when I open a report in print preview. The I use the report's on close property to set the form's visible property back to true.
I think you may have to create a form module, not sure why you dislike them. I'm not sure if it will work for the after update event, but you'll notice that the calendar control doesn't list an On_Click event. Yet, if you open any of the events you can then go in and create your own On_Click...
