Hi i am trying to implement some password policy's, on a windows 2000 network with 98 clients, i want to enable that users change there passwords after 30 days, but it only works for 2000 clients not 98.

The only thing i can think of is, do the networks which it didnt fix have some sort of OU' policies set that block/override the one from domain controllers. Apart from that im in the dark to why it didn't work. Service pack 2 is ment to solve this problem, when it is available I dont know.

No thats what i've got setup aswell, i know what your going through it is so annoying!!! can you ping the recipients mail server from your Exchange server if not maybe try a LMHOST file to point to it.

have serviced packed office 2000 to sp3 but still same probs - when word opens some times it is in read only, no one is in the files, if you close word the open the file again it is not in read only. this is strange
