I have an HP 2550L. My yellow cartridge light indicator is blinking and my blue and black lights are lit. I presume that indicates I'm out of yellow and low on blue and black.
I have a spare black toner but don't have any color toners.
I want to be able to print in greyscale only for the...
I'm studying for the 70-294 Server 2003 Active Directory exam. When I run replmon, right click on a DC and click on 'Show Bridgehead servers for the enterprise' it says 'The domain controller was contacted successfully, but the list of Bridgehead servers returned zero'.
Is this normal?
In a...
I want change the location of the shadow copies on a volume from the current disk to another disk. If I change the location it deletes all of the shadow copies that were created. I’ve been told I can backup the shadow copies and move them. Where are they and how do I move them?
I have a beginner’s question. I’m creating a backup and I notice that the shares are listed as well as the drives. Why is this set up that way? If I just select the drives then the shares will still be backed up … so why are the shares displayed as a selection … perhaps if you want to just...
I need some help with an issue I’m not sure where to post. In my work environment we’ve got bundles of old Compaq servers that were built on 4 GB mirrored drives. They have various sized application drives but that is not my problem. We also don’t want to rebuild these servers … they are...
When I launch Server Assistant while logged into remote desktop I show up as only a user in the top right hand corner of the screen. My ID is nested in a group in the local admin group. When I put my ID straight into the local admin group and then launch server administrator it logs me in as...
I have 4 HP-LTO-3 tape drives in my StorageTek SL8500 library. The library has been in service now for about 1.5 yrs. Since I use Netbackup 5.1 and the SL8500 is connected via an ACSLS Sun server I have to rely upon the drives to tell the ACSLS when to request a cleaning. The drives are in use...
I just accidently applied the GPO to the OU that the most of the servers were in and and hour later looked at my WSUS server console and all of those servers were in the WSUS server and gpresults on the clients said they had the GPO's applied!
So it must have been the process of moving the...
I noticed that Microsoft does not have a patch out for the DST change for NT and 2000? It only has a registry key change included in the article KB928388.
Will the Resource kit utiliy 'timezone /s 02:0:2:03 02:0:1:11' accomplish the same goal as the registry change in KB928388? I'm getting...
Thanks Paul but the configuration settings for WSUS need to be applyed to the computer Configuration not the User Configuration. That's what you meant right ... computer vs user configuration (settings) in the GPO?
Mike
I would think that WUAUCLT /DETECTNOW would only work if the server knew it was in the correct OU and GPO. It didn't work here ...
I think it might be the process of moving the computer to the OU that is linked to the GPO. GPUPDATE is supposed to update the GPO information on the client but...
The clients on my GPO that I've created for a WSUS server I'm building don't show that the GPO has been applied when I run gpresults. Even after 1 full day has passed they were not applied.
But ... when I rebooted a couple of clients the GPO showed up in the gpresults. One client was 2000...
I need to change the tape labels on a few of my LTO-3 tapes. What's the procedure I need to follow? 3 are in the scratch pool and 2 are in the Weekend Pool. All 5 say 'Overwritable'.
Can I just change the labels or do I have to do a format before ... or after the lable change. Then I need...
Yea ... now i remember why we didn't deploy this a long time ago. When it first came out it wouldn't work in my environment. I have Test, Dev, QA and Production deployment phases. It wouldn't work with all 4 groups ... i think i needed a different WUS server for each?
Now from your posts it...
