The system is MICS with NAM. There is this Mailbox that shows "Message for you" but when mailbox is opened there are no messages inside. There is no external Voice Mail on any lines on the system and the extension associated with this Mailbox does not have any external lines assigned...

Thanks for the tip. I will try this next week. I finally heard from telco and they will try to fix it from the central office. They asked me what's the loop current required for my system. I'm not sure if this is anywhere in the specs for 8x24. I told them 27mA/48V just to be on the safe...
Executive Set "E" has line 176 and 177 Appear&Ring. Line 176 is private line to this set.
Assistant Set "A" has line 175 and 177 Appear& Ring. Line 175 is private line to this set.
Assistant wants to be able to answer Set "E" when called internally but Executive...

I didn't personally check the ground yesterday. 8 months ago when I first started troubleshooting this the doctor had an electrician check the electrical outlet and dedicate an outlet for the phone system. I mentioned to them yesterday to have SPAKY doublecheck the outlet and make sure it...

I'm sure my meter is good. I used the same meter (after getting back from the Doctor) to measure the loop current on my lines and it measures 25mA on all lines. The MICS is disconnected the line (4) is back on the 8x24. Got your point; SHOULDN'T PUT A LINE WITH SUCH HIGH LOOP CURRENT EVEN...
OK...
Will telco correct this problem if made aware?
Does anyone know if MICS tolerates this currents (over 27mA)?
Should I just go ahead and order those Loop Current Attenuators?
After taking this measurements makes sense to me that this is the problem because if you look at Line 04...
Well here are the findings:
No ALARMS and no EVENTS in the log. The Voltage on the lines looks OK but I can't say the same about the loop current:
L01 50.2V 35.2mA
L02 50.2V 35.3mA
L03 50.2V 31.3mA
L04 42.7V 39.9mA
L05 50.3V 33.9mA
L06 50.1V 33.9mA
L07 49.9V 34.1mA
L08 50.4V 34.4mA
L09 50.4V...
Just spoke with the doctor and I will be there tomorrow morning 9:00am/LosAngeles. I will let you know as soon as I get back.

You stole my thought, I was going to disconnect the phone closest to the XRAY machine. Will be done tomorrow also. But this machine is hardly used (the doctor told...

that's a good point. I thought that the NT7B75GA's have better tolerance than the NT5B40G's or the relays on the 8x24 MB but I wasn't sure. Like I said; I'll make all the measurements tonight or tomorrow morning and post those for further discussions. I'd rather replace that KSU with the...
I'll measure the LOOP CURRENT & the VOLTAGE on all 9 lines tomorrow morning. But, don't you think that if this is a current/voltage issue I would see at least one call dropping on my MICS system that sitts next to the 8x24 KSU and has the line 4 connected to it? This is been there for 10-days...

I've seen it drop calls in the middle of conversation and I've also cald in, got half ring then had to redial. True,
this 7324's are the old version. I'll take your advise and make the changes tomorrow (as far as Disconnect Supervision and Auto HF). Have you seen this problem even...

Can't be the voice mail...I had the Voice Mail disconnected from the system (for 1 week) and it was still dropping calls.

the system is just dropping calls, NOT RESETTING. I't dropping calls from all stations not only from reception set. Maybe something that I don't know...
