    Hi Rich, Did you buy your XP2600+ as a 'Retail Box, or an 'OEM', (w/o Fan)? If Retail..., the fan that comes w/it is sufficient. Also, when you realized you had 'too much' thermal paste on them, did you clean both the bottom of the Heatsink and HeatSlug on top of the 'CPU Die' off 'COMPLETELY?'...
