Hi,
I have a RH 7.3 box with the last defined partition ext3 (sda10) getting too full. I am able to expand my current disk array by adding another disk and adding the space to the logical drive. What would be the best way to go about expanding the last filesystem onto the new space created? I do...
I have a 345 server with a ServRaid set on Raid 5 with 5 discs and 1 hot spare, running RedHat 7.3. I need to add space to the final partition (/sda10) to increase the available drive space for files on that partition. Since it is the last partition defined, I should be able to do this by...
Halo,
This has happened a few times over the last year or so with our sendmail. We are running 8.12 on RH 7.3 with MailScanner and spamassassin. We host about 200 virtual mail domains. One domain cannot send mail to a specific user@domain.com. They receive a Reverse PTR error - RFC822 from our...
Halo,
Small ISP with about 2k email accounts running sendmail on RH 7.3. About 65% of the accounts are default domain of isp.com, the others are hosted domains using isp.com as their pop/imap/smarthost mail server. We are using procmail for forwarding. MailScanner is running with f-prot AV and...
I am working for an ISP who has a 3660 with an DS3 ATM circuit from SBC that feeds their DSL customers. We have 3 virtual interfaces defined with a full /24 in the ip address pool for the vpdn group. SBC is now sending more than 254 circuits to the virtual interface and thus we are runnign out...
Anyone know of the correct MAC address to use for creating phantom extensions on the NBX? I was using 00:0e:bb:06:xx:xx (the "xx's" are variables), but am now told that it is or will be changing. My phantoms work for now, but anyone know a valid MAC to use?
Thanks!
Got the WINS covered and the old pc issue covered as all of our machines have been rebuilt several times since then. But, I missed the vpn/dial-up possibility. Some people who came from that company stillwork for us and could be using their home pc's which might have somethign on them. We'll...
5 years ago, my company owned another company called XYZ Corp. 1 year later, the company was dissloved and all their equipment was sold. Now, after all that time, we suddenly have the old XYZ domain name showing up in our Network Neighborhoods. I've checked AD and we've even checked our...
Anyone have this working? I've got 4.3.13 loaded up on both ends going thru a private T-1 with 6 VTL's between the two NBX 3's. I thought they had this fixed in 4.3.3?
Anyone know of a duct tape fix to get a busy lamp to show on the attnd console?
Thx.
This is how we solved it awhile back.
User Account - Exchange General - Delivery Restrictions. Set the maximum receive size limit to 1k. Your users who send mail to that box will get an undeliverable message. If it was like our users, they call the helpdesk and ask whym then we tell them to...
Hi all,
This may be the wrong forum for this, so please point me the right way.
Theer are several products out on the market now that will archive all of the email being sent or received by an Exchange server to a SQL DB (i.e. GFI MailArchiver). This would include everything in the messages -...
We have done this 2 ways. One ways involves buying, if you do not already own, "softphone" licenses from 3Com (why they make you pay for this, I do not know. Every other vendor gives it for free). Using the softphone interface, you are setting up the remote computer with a software-based 3Com...
Here's the scenario -
Company A has a complete AD setup on W2K with a somewhat complex structure due to software distribution and groups. They have about 700 objects in their AD.
Now, company B (also W2K AD) comes along and buys 50% of company A. The top exec's are asking both I.T. departments...
Never heard of this. We use softphones and paging works fine both internally and externally.
Maybe GoTellBigDaddy can help... or else a call to your friendly 3Com support.
We've been fighting with this product since we bought it earlier this year. one guy created it and let's just say you can tell it isn't made by a dedicated team of programmers or a big corporation.
Anyone having any luck with it?
It's at http://www.pccompsoft.com
I highly recommend trying out a 3rd party product to the NBX for just this type of connection. We use Crystal Voice, which gaurantees COS over the internet for the NBX. We have users using it on everythig from Dial-up 56k to broadband and it works great.
Just my $.03.
