SMTP: Advanced Message Queue Failed to Deliver Message

ShackDaddy, I am now at the point where, when I get the error, it is the spam filter grabbing the emai9l. So far, it's all been spam, so I'll contact Sophos to see what the fix is. Thanks!

SMTP: Advanced Message Queue Failed to Deliver Message

It seems like everything we try helps a little, and the problem is going away in increments. Before lunch, I changed the network cable from the DSL router to the DC. Since that time, we have only lost one email to the advanced queue, and that one was spam. Basically, every 5 minutes, I track...

SMTP: Advanced Message Queue Failed to Deliver Message

Hi, thanks for the reply! I don't run either of those apps. We use Sophos Pure Message, and I disabled the services, then restarted the server, just to make certain that wasn't it. I even found an article on GFI website that gave a fix: re-register the MDAC .dll's in the program files/common...

SMTP: Advanced Message Queue Failed to Deliver Message

I forgot to say I turned on SMTP filtering, and here is the event that appears around the time of the disappearing email: EVENT ID: 7010 MSExchange Transport SMTP Protocol This is an SMTP protocol log for virtual server ID 1, connection #444. The client at "xx.x.xx.162" sent a "xexch50"...

SMTP: Advanced Message Queue Failed to Deliver Message

And it's gone! Poof! SBS2003 with Exchange 2003, SP2. I just installed Server 2003, SP1, then SBS 2003 SP1. Since that time, we've been losing emails arbitrarily. A client will call and ask why we haven't responded to an email, then I track in in Exch Manager. I see the message come in and as...

upgr. to ISA server 2004, now cannot connect to citrix server

OK, it turns out that a VPN rule that was imported was redirecting the traffic to the external connection, so it was like a big loop. Once that was corrected, it all worked fine. Thanks for the response!

upgr. to ISA server 2004, now cannot connect to citrix server

Hi. I've upgraded to ISA 2004. Running MF 1.8 on a W2K server box. I cr4eated protocols including the IP of the ISA server, listener directing the IP to the citrix box, and published the server. I can get to my published apps on the internet, but I cannot access any of them. Here is the error...

Signature issues in Outlook 2003 - MF 1.8

actually, once you mentioned profiles, it occurred to me that her profile was being stored on two different servers. after that revelation (ha!) I thought up the thin client scenario. so you were kind of right! :)

Signature issues in Outlook 2003 - MF 1.8

It was the two profiles stored in different places. I moved the user to a thin client, now she only logs into Citrix, and poof! No more issues.

Signature not being displayed in Outlook 2003

I have resolved the issue. I simply bought another thin client so she no longer has the laptop that connects directly to the network. Now she only uses Citrix, so there is no longer any profile issue. Even though it's a roaming profile, I think that ultimately was the source.

    Video and browser/Java problems, related?

It's fixed. Unfortunately, I do not know what fixed it, since three of us each did something different, unbeknownst to each other. I uninstalled and reinstalled every IE patch. One tech reloaded all java applets on the website. One flushed and reset DNS. Thanks for everything! Corie

    Video and browser/Java problems, related?

Well, I created a rule allowing all traffic from that website. It didn't work. I then created a content rule allowing java scripting from that site. That too, did not work. Fortunately, my hair is thick, and that new bald spot will be almost invisible! Thanks, Corie

    Video and browser/Java problems, related?

No I hadn't thought of that. I just did, and unfortunately, nothing changed. Thanks, Corie

Signature not being displayed in Outlook 2003

OK, I got TS back on the Citrix server, licensing on the SBS2003 DC, and everything was fine - for a week. Suddenly the user is having signature problems again. We use roaming profiles. All our coordinators use thin clients and log into Citrix. All our exec's use laptops or desktops, and log in...

Signature issues in Outlook 2003 - MF 1.8

I checked and no, there is only one. Thanks for the suggestion! When I logged in as her just now, the sig was again replaced by NONE as the default. She only logged into the network, not Citrix. Hmmmm...... curiouser and curiouser.

    Video and browser/Java problems, related?

I have a Rage XL PCI card in the W2K server that runs Citrix MF 1.8. I can set the adapter to any color and refresh rate, but it always looks like 256 colors. It looks like that on the server, but when users connect via ICA (thin clients) their adapter settings appear to work. Also, a few...

Signature issues in Outlook 2003 - MF 1.8

Outlook 2003, SBS 2003 with CITRIX MetaFrame 1.8 on a W2K server. The user does not always log in through Citrix. Sometimes she uses her laptop, just logs into the network, and computes that way. We are set up so users can log in 2 ways: into Citrix, or just the network. So this users...

    Single User with Signature issues.

I ran a detect and repair on both IE and Office, to no avail. This morning, it was still gone. Any ideas? There is no profile error upon logoff, and we use roaming profiles.

How do I remove a DC that no longer exists? SBS2003

Thanks, Mark! That did the trick. It looked daunting, but was rather straightforward. I appreciate it!
