Does the T1 card on the PBX support PRI with an Ethernet hand-off? Is there any differences with how it is provided from the utility company, as far as compatibility? I would assume most T1 services are Ethernet anyways.....
So not something else new on the list of things that are new to me! Upgrading the software, is it as simple as powering down the PBX pulling the old software card and installing the new 7.1 version card?
Hello all, We currently have a Norstar Modular ICS with a software version of 4.1 For years we have had a Handoff from AT&T providing a T1 service thru their router/switch for our 18 outside lines. Their router/switch then provides the analog line to our PBX. Lately in a effort to save cash a...
Any ideas on what would cause echoing, talking on a outside line on only one nortel internal phone in the network. The person talking hears her voice again but the other side of the line does not. This only happens to one telephone and it is not line related. And it does no happen all of the...
I just installed 8 phone lines for private use. 7 out the 8 worked perfect, the last one is a giving me problems. First off all of the lines are on a centrex system so I have to dial 9 first. The line that is giving me problems, you donot have to dial 9 first. I can dial out on thae problem...
Does anybody know if the newer T style telephones work the same as the older M style phones. Since the M style is getting harder to find these days, I was looking to purchase the newer T style phones but I was unsure if they would work on a older Norstar system without doing any software...
I have a internal phone, 226. That when someone else calls that extension it also rings in the office across the hall. which is 244. I would like to change how both of these phones ring at the same time. There is no ring delay between the phones when one rings so does the other. What all do...
Mailbox 100 is the general delivery mailbox. 102 is the system manager's mailbox. Is there any way of seeing what the mailbox number is to a specific extension number without hooking up a computer or printer?
Yes, it sees the mailbox. I go thru to where it shows ext: (none). Change or OK. I press change to put in his extension and it says ext assigned. If I understand this correctly the ext would tie his voicemail box to his specific extension number. And it won't let me do it???
What exactally is the KSU and the VM, voicemail? And what is involved with restarting it? Reprogramming anything? I don't spend much time around the phone system. I only spend enough time to be dangerous with it. Both the startalk and telephone system is backed up by a battery backup. But...
If I do a feature 980. And I try to leave a voicemail in extension 285 it will say the mailbox is not initialized and cannot accept any messages. I went thru all of our voicemail mailboxes listed in the directory, there is only 27 of them, and checked all of the assigned extenshion numbers...
I am trying to setup a mailbox to extension number 285. There has never been a mailbox assigned to this entension number. We had a expansion unit installed recentally that 285 is on. Whenever I logon as administrator and add a mailbox to extension 285 it will let me add the mailbox number but...
A person in the building got a voicemail and the telephone says Message for you on their telephone. The message notification in turned on. But the message was erased and there is no stored or new messages on their voicebox and it still says message for you. I unplugged the phone too, which...
How is the intercom key programmed? I go thru the **266344 passwords then into button programming for 221 but it does not list a intercom feature code.
To how many, and what would that have to do with it? There is 2 intercom lines on there now and I have 2 more buttons available would that be enough? I only seem to have the problem when she has a outside line calling while she is talking to someone in the building.
