    thanks guys for all the responses. After trying a lot of different approaches that didn't work, we went ahead and purchased the Bogen TAMB module-found a good deal on one for under 200, and now it works fine...

    Thanks Buckweet, but we have neither. The amp is a low-end bogen with a simple tip and ring connection. Bogen says we can purchase a TAMB module from them which will work and that's about $300. Just thought there might be a simple way to configure an FXS port to work...

    No, we haven't tried FXO ports--our system has 12 FXS ports but no FXO. I haven't checked on an expansion card yet but I'm sure it's not cheap...any other ideas? Thanks.
