I know I had issues with printing to a local network printer when connected through TS, but the answer was the new version of remote desktop.
Search for remote desktop windows 2003 and you'll find version 5.2.3790. With this version I have no issues printing to my local network printer anymore...
Hi,
I had some trouble with my OWA and thought I'll just reinstall IIS6.
Well that went fine but how do I get the Exchange website back under default website. And the Company web website?
Thanx in advance.

Hi Narizz28,
I think I see stars after I read your reply. Puts me back in my place when I thought I knew some stuff about computers. But I guess we can't know everything.
Good thing is that it DOES encourage me to go on with my quest.
Does this way allow one to publish the webinterface on the...
Hi,
They have a SQL database with a frontend on it. I like to create a website with similar fileds as the front end where they can enter their data. They enter workorders, jobs, payroll etc in the program/database. Right now they would like to have laptops in the office where they can use them...
Hi,
I am fairly new to SQL but a friend asked me if I could research this. Since there are always helpfull people in this group I thought I would try it here first.
All I am looking for is a start on how to go about this. Is there some software package 3rd party or maybe something build into...
Hi,
No real help yet but I am about to test this setup on my new server so if I have any more info I will post it here.
I did hear someone say it is not yet perfect...but they were used to ecxchange so that might have been why they were very critical.
Greetings,
Pim
I think you forgot to change your MX record?
By what I read here is that you kind of said that anyone browsing to mail.domain.com will end up at your server but that is not what mail uses to find the mail server.
It uses a MX Record in the DNS settings .
Good Luck
Pim
I guess you don't HAVE to make it a PDC or use Active Directorie but to my feeling you might as well use windows XP Pro and setup a peer to peer.
You lose all the nice functionality if you dont make it a PDC with AD.
It is not that hard if you just leave it with the standard settings and works...
How do you know you server can be used for relaying mail?
I am just wondering because I tried Alt-n some time ago to see if it was good for what I needed it for.
But when I ran the tests it came up as "No Relay Possible"
So now I am wondering if you do it from inside the network...
That would be my ultimate solution. Thanks for the super fast reply too btw.
I looked around on my SMTP connector which I use to send mail to my ISP so we don't get weird spam errors after reverse lookup at the receiver end.
But I don't see an option about undeliverable messages send through...
Hi,
I am still struggling with this because I think it should be possible. I have a domain as jupitar.com. So the exchange server handles all email for this domain. So if you send an email to johndoe@jupitar.com it will direct it directly into his mailbox. So far so good. Now I have some...

Hi,
A friend asked me to install Exchange 2000 for him after his domain has already been running for a while. The installation went ok and if I create a new user I will get the question if I like to create a mailbox etc. If I look at that user's properties window he has all the know exhange...
Hi,
I am currently using Exchange 2003 in ther SBS version so I use the integrated POP3 Connector.
This connects to the ISP and downloads all the email and throws it back out if there are E-mails send. This works all perfect. We need this solution for now since our internet conetcion is flaky...
Hi,
If you like to view different mailboxes you have to be logged in as the user and then rightclick on the mailbox root folder and set permissions. These only have to be view though!!
Then after that you have to set permissions per folder (INBOX for instance). Then if you add them to someones...
Hello,
Here is what I would like to do. I have 1 server with SBS2003 installed. The exchange server runs fine. I now would like to setup OWA and RPC over HTTP So the laptop users can use get their email on the road.
I have an extra server where I would like to install the windows 2003 server on...
Yeah you might have different IP ranges?
Then you have to add the range in either the PXE server part or the TFTP server part I guess.
I did not try this with RIS but with Ghost and 3com boot services and we had a similar problem with VLAN's en different IP Ranges.
Hope it helps a bit.
Pim
I am a bit lost on how you guys try to get the image accross. Don't you just use one of the multicast options?
I just made a floppy that activates the network and receive an IP from the DHCP server.
I create a ghost session on the server and then start ghost with option -ja=sessionname. You can...
Hi,
I would just setup the "Default User" properly. Each user then gets all the Icons and setups you gave the default user.
Just create your user settings and desktop etc just as you want it.
Then copy this profile to the default user.
Each new user will then get exactly the settings...
Hi,
I have a customer that would like to have 1 "master" SQL Server and 3 "Slave" servers.
The goal is to have the 3 "slaves" randomly access/connect to this network and "update" themselves with the data from the "master" server.
Preferrably...
